Chiron in Capricorn

Chiron in Capricorn places the wounded healer archetype in the sign of ambition, authority, and worldly achievement. Barbara Hand Clow writes in Chiron: Rainbow Bridge Between the Inner and Outer Planets (1987) that Chiron reveals where the soul's most painful learning takes place, and in Capricorn that learning takes place through the crushing machinery of worldly standards, institutional authority, and the fear of failure. Melanie Reinhart describes in Chiron and the Healing Journey (1989) how Chiron in Capricorn often reflects early experiences where a cold, absent, or demanding father or authority figure communicated — explicitly or implicitly — that conditional achievement was the prerequisite for love and respect.
